Jarius Hicklen Puts Up a Solid Performance in the 3rd Round of the 6A Playoffs

In a very tough game against Duncanville, the number one team in Texas. Jarius Hicklen led the Desoto Eagles in points, rebounds, and assists putting up a 13pt, 5rebs, 5 assists, 1 stl, 1 blk stat line.
Hicklen ignighted the Eagles in the third quarter by nailing back to back three pointers, which helped the team out score Duncanville 21-18 In the quarter.
Hicklen played excellent defense in this 6A rivalry forcing OT and held his assignment to 0 shot attempts. The senior guard and his team came up short in possibly the best matchup of the 2019 6A playoffs losing 61-60 in OT.
Hicklen had a great season for Desoto and learned after the game that he had won 7-6A player of the year.
The season may not have ended with a championship but Hicklen put up numbers that the elite Desoto program and district 7-6A hasn’t seen in a decade with: 18.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 3.9 apg, 0.6 bpg, 0.9 spg
